It is Schnibble time! Sinta at Pink Pincushion and Sherri at A Quilting Life have a
Vintage Theme for "AYOS" (Another Year of Schnibbles).
Carrie of Miss Rosie's Quilting Company is releasing some of her oldest patterns again,
and now has them available via PDF here.
I have had a few other pictures in previous posts of my April Schnibbles, but wanted to show off the fact that I almost finished it! I did the quilting and only the binding remains.
There is a possibility I will attempt to FMQ something in the 4 off white squares around the middle.
But first I have to practice. :)
See those hands in the 2 top corners? That is my 12 yr old son. He hates it when I ask him to hold a quilt. Sometime in the past couple of months, he passed me up in height by at least 2 inches and has almost caught up with his sister. He is starting to mature, so this is not a manly task I guess.
Here is one quarter of it.
The fancy view on the couch. :)
Close up of the Center. Since I used strips for the 9 patches, I had to find something for the light colored squares and setting triangles. I pulled most of it from the leftovers from my Strawberry Fields Layer cake.
I especially love the dots.
We have had 5 days of lovely, almost hot weather.
We were over 80 one of the days for the first time since last September.
Would you believe I was bit by a couple of mosquitoes last night when I tried to read on my deck????
Snow to mosquitoes in just a few days - and rumor has it we might have snow again on Thursday.
Enjoy the parade of Schnibbles!
Blessed Sewing, Karen
P.S. My next project will be for the next Blog Hop sponsored by
Madam Samm at Sew We Quilt - For the Birds.
I am really looking forward to it!
Oh, this is sweet - feels like a picnic to me!! We had a couple of 70 days, but back into the 50's and COLD nights - that's ok with me.
ReplyDeletegorgeous Karen,we are very cold here and a bit of rain as well.xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!! I love the bright, fun colors and the dots are super cute, too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy son passed me out right around his 13th birthday in February. I am only 5'2" so it doesn't take much and he is still one of the shorter boys in his grade.
Looks lovely Karen, congratulations on having the finishing post in sight now!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so darn cute and fun. If I lived closer I would snatch it away!
ReplyDeleteI love your Hat Trick Karen. Such beautiful and happy colours. We are also starting to get nice weather finally. It's been nice to soak up the vitamin D for a change! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it - and "almost bound" is further along than I am right now on a few quilts. Good job and thank you to the quilt-holder. :)
